Browser notifications and email for mentions and direct messages.

You can be notified when someone mentions you or sends you a direct message while you are not looking at the app.

1. Open Devices in the sidebar.
2. Under “Notifications on this device” choose “Turn on notifications on this device”.
3. Allow notifications when your browser asks.

• A notification says who it is from and where, for example “Sam mentioned you, in #general”. It never contains the text of the message, so nothing private shows on a lock screen.
• It works in Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari. On an iPhone or iPad, add Intercom Chat to your Home Screen first and open it from there.
• Turn it on separately for each browser or device, and off again from the same page.
• If you are away, mentions are also gathered into a short email.
