Data protection rules

Stop card numbers, secrets and chosen phrases from being posted.
The Enterprise+ plan includes data-protection rules, under Admin, then Data protection. A rule looks for payment card numbers, bank account numbers (IBAN), US Social Security numbers, UK National Insurance numbers, cloud keys, private keys, tokens, or words and phrases you choose.
- A rule can warn the sender and log it, remove the sensitive part before the message is sent, or refuse the message.
- Rules check the text of channel messages, threads, direct messages and edits. They do not open attached files.
- The log keeps only a masked preview, such as the last four digits of a card, never the full value.
- If your workspace moves to a plan without data protection, the rules are kept but stop being applied.
